Our KTP Aura laser outputs a 532nm wavelength which is ideal for treating broken facial capillaries, rosacea, angiomas, and superficial pigmented lesions. Used alone or in combination with the IPL [link] and QS Duolite, most facial redness, capillaries and pigmented blemishes can be treated at Camberwell Dermatology.
The 532nm wavelength laser selectively targets hemoglobin in blood vessels, and melanin in the skin. It produces clinical improvement by heating blood vessels and selectively destroying themby a process termed photothermolysis. Although results are very often seen after one treatment, multiple treatment sessions are generally necessary for optimal clearance.
